May I request a specific coach for my child?

The LYBL does not accept individual requests for team placement. Our league serves over 400 students representing approximately 45-50 teams, and it is simply not feasible for our league directors to fulfill individual requests for placement on a specific team or with a specific coach.

How often will my child practice or play?

Each team will be afforded one 45 minute practice time per week, on Thursday evenings. A team's coach may elect to practice more frequently or on another day, but any practice time outside of our arranged practice blocks must be made between the coach and a third party.  The 1st and 2nd grade divisions will paly one game per week for 6 weeks, beginning  the first weekend of January. The 3rd and 4th grade and 5th and 6th grade boys and girls will play 5 weeks and then finish the year with an end-of-season tournament the second weekend in February.

What should my child wear to games?

Each child will be issues a blue and white reversible jersey to be worn on game days throughout the season. Participants can wear the athletic shorts and shoes of their choice.
